A company in the e-commerce platform industry is hiring for a Japanese Speaking Bridge Software Engineer (PHP).
Job Description
- Act as the communication bridge between Japanese clients and stakeholders and the Vietnam-based development team
- Gather, analyze, and clarify business and technical requirements from Japanese counterparts
- Manage project-related questions, discussions, and documentation to ensure clear mutual understanding
- Support project management activities, including progress tracking, scheduling, and quality assurance under guidance
- Participate in detailed design based on initial requirements and review source code and testing outcomes
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of a large-scale e-commerce platform used in the Japanese market
- Collaborate closely with team members to align development output with product goals and client expectations
Job Requirements
- At least two years of experience in software development, preferably in web applications or e-commerce systems
- More than two years of experience as a Bridge Software Engineer
- Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 level or higher, with strong communication and logical thinking skills
- Experience working with Japanese stakeholders or teams in a Vietnam-based environment
- Background in team coordination or management, including task planning, progress tracking, and KPI management
- Experience deploying applications in staging and production environments
- Interest or experience in applying AI to improve system performance
- Understanding of software development processes such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall is an advantage
- Ability to read and understand code design, basic design documents, use cases, and test scenarios
- Familiarity with requirement definition, testing practices, and development tools is a plus
- Flexible, proactive, and responsible mindset with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
