Project Manager – Japanese Market Expansion
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam / Japan

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of expansion projects targeting Japan.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with company strategy.

 

International Coordination

  • Collaborate with teams in Vietnam and Japan to implement joint initiatives.

  • Serve as the main communication link across countries and cultures.

     

 

Business Support

  • Work with Business Development to adapt offerings for the Japanese market.

  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and HR for local operations, compliance, and onboarding.
     

Risk & Reporting

  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project delivery.

  • Provide regular updates and performance insights to leadership and partners.
     

Cultural Integration

  • Foster understanding between Japanese and Vietnamese work cultures.

  • Encourage effective collaboration among multicultural teams.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Technology, or related fields.

  • Minimum 3 years in project management, preferably in international expansion or business development.

  • Experience with Japanese clients or market is a strong plus.

  • Background in media, advertising, or tech is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proven success in leading cross-functional, international projects.

  • Familiarity with project management tools; Agile experience is a bonus.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1/N2 or native level) is highly desirable.

  • Deep understanding of Japanese business etiquette and communication norms.
