Senior Mechanical Engineer (Piping)

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Foreign company providing Water and Wastewater treatment services is looking for Senior Mechanical (Piping) Engineer to join their team in HCMC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for detailed design, such as piping route planning, Skid design, and equipment design, based on the company’s basic plan and basic design.
• Possess a strong understanding of technical documents like specification sheets, P&IDs, layouts, and structural drawings (pipe racks, stages, supports), and mainly design piping.
• Proficient in utilizing Advance Steel for support and pipe rack design.
• Manage project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
• Create and manage process charts for piping and equipment design, effectively tracking progress.
• Provide clear and concise instructions to subcontractors, outsourcing partners, and fabricators.
• Conduct reviews of final output outputs including orthographic drawings, isometric drawings, and 2D drawings.
• Generate technical documents and propose standardization initiatives to improve work efficiency.
• Conduct project review meetings and technical discussions with clients.
• Share technical expertise and guidance, fostering the development of junior engineers.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Biological Engineering
• Prefer candidates with over 4 years of EPC project experience in Piping Design position.
• Ability to communicate in English, Vietnamese native
• Hands-on experience using piping design software such as P3D, PDMS/E3D and be proficient in using these tools.
• Familiar with AutoCAD 2&3D, Plant 3D, OR Cardworks Plant and structure.
• Proficient in reading and understanding P&IDs, technical documents, and drawings in English.
• Familiarity with standard for materials used in structural components, storage tanks, vessels, and piping (JIS or equivalent standards).
• Knowledge of piping drawings, isometric drawings, and creating manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge of BIM design work, BIM360 collaborate pro settings, and procedures.

Plus points:

• Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with programming such as Python, API programming such as Forge, Power BI
• Understanding of CAD administration is an advantage.
• Experience in Plant3D and PDMS/Cardworks administrators is preferred.
