Job Title: Planning Manager

Location: Bac Ninh, Vietnam

 

Position Overview:

Our client is a global leader in designing and manufacturing high-performance interconnect systems for industries like automotive, aerospace, industrial, and consumer electronics, with strong operations in Vietnam and other key hubs.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Manager to lead the engineering team at a manufacturing facility in Bac Ninh.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production plans to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.
  • Lead material planning and inventory control, ensuring timely availability of components and raw materials.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align planning with capacity, lead times, and product lifecycle.
  • Monitor and analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and production performance to adjust plans proactively.
  • Implement and maintain ERP/MRP systems for accurate planning and reporting; drive system improvements and automation.
  • Manage S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes, facilitating cross-functional alignment and decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, capacity constraints, and demand variability.
  • Prepare and present planning metrics and reports to senior management, highlighting gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating planning activities and ensuring readiness across departments.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in production/material planning within electronics or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Preferred Attributes:
    • Experience in a multinational or American corporate environment.
    • Understanding of compliance standards such as RoHS, REACH, and ISO 9001.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
