The Consultant - Supply Chain Management role is based in Ho Chi Minh City with a hybrid work arrangement. The position offers an opportunity to analyse client operations, identify critical supply chain and logistics issues, and develop business and technology-based recommendations that improve management and operational processes.
Responsibilities
Collect information about clients’ businesses through shadowing, interviews, surveys, reports, and other relevant methods
Analyse and interpret information to identify operational weaknesses, problems, and their underlying causes
Assess critical issues affecting clients’ Supply Chain Management (SCM), logistics operations, and Information Technology (IT) systems, and develop recommendations to improve management and operations
Lead project delivery and support other consultants in preparing key deliverables, including assessment documents, business process flows, business requirement definitions, and fit-gap analyses of application functions
Recommend appropriate IT and non-IT measures to address identified gaps
Negotiate and facilitate key discussions in Vietnamese and English
Collaborate with other departments to deliver appropriate consulting services to clients
Support presales activities and prepare proposals for consulting projects
Participate directly in recruiting employees, identifying alliance partners in Vietnam, and reporting to headquarters
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5–10 years of consulting experience within a consulting firm or comparable experience within a private company
Experience working as a project manager on one or more consulting projects
Deep understanding of supply chain operations within a logistics or manufacturing company, including:
Manufacturing process management and improvement
Sales forecasting and supply chain planning
Inventory management
Material handling
Warehouse operations and transport assignment
Sales order management
Purchasing management
Deep understanding of logistics-related IT solutions, including Supply Chain Planning (SCP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transport Management Systems (TMS)
Strong logical thinking, negotiation, and team leadership capabilities
Strong documentation and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
Business-level English proficiency
Professional proficiency in Vietnamese
Strong motivation to advance a career in business consulting
Outstanding communication skills, particularly in interviewing clients, facilitating meetings, and coordinating clients with other stakeholders
Ability to prepare key consulting deliverables, including assessments, business process designs, business requirements, and financial policies
Preferred qualifications:
Experience implementing SCM or SCP-related IT solutions, including SAP Sales and Distribution/Materials Management, other ERP platforms, SAP Advanced Planning and Optimisation, or JDA
Experience implementing sales management IT solutions, including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Zoho CRM, or SugarCRM
Experience implementing logistics IT solutions, including Infor WMS, Manhattan, or SAP Warehouse Management
Experience designing business processes and system requirements
Experience managing consulting projects or working within a Project Management Office (PMO)
