A company focused on delivering high-quality projects for the Japan market is hiring for a QA Lead/Manager position.
Job Description
- Build and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance system for all Japan-market projects, with a strong focus on TMX initiatives.
- Develop test strategies and testing processes that align with Japanese standards and expectations.
- Establish and continuously improve release and regression testing processes to ensure stable deliveries.
- Train QA and development teams to strengthen quality mindset and preventive thinking.
- Review test plans, test cases, and defect trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide consultation to clients on testing approaches and deployment processes, supporting smooth project execution.
Job Requirements
- Seven to ten years of experience in quality assurance, including two to three years in a QA Lead or QA Manager role.
- Japanese language proficiency at N2 level or above.
- Proven experience in QA management and team leadership.
- Strong capability in building test strategies and a solid overview of test automation.
Experience in quality metrics tracking, analysis, and root cause identification. - Coaching and training skills to develop team capability and quality awareness.
- Systematic thinking with a strong focus on defect prevention.
- Experience working directly with Japanese stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of software testing processes and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and logical thinking.
- Ability to learn independently and research new knowledge.
- Experience preparing test data and test environments to support testing activities.
Strong time management skills.
