JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure profit maximization through employee coordination and motivation. Working on the shop floor to ensure the general operations of a store is in order, runs smoothly and presentable.
- Receive and count float money to ensure amount is correct at the start of shift and/or at changeover;
- Report any discrepancies immediately to Store Manager, Supervisor or Security;
- Greet customers when entering, during sale and upon leaving establishment;
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout counter and surrounding areas;
- Keep reports of all sale transactions. All “No Sales Dockets” must be kept and signed off by Security.
- Operate cash register and handling cash transactions with customers;
- Receive payment by cash and/or redeem customer vouchers;
- Check all cash notes and coins to ensure individual note/coin is of the correct currency and that notes are not damaged or torn;
- Issue receipts and ensure correct change due to customers is given, count change back to customer.
- Make sale referrals to other relevant departments such as Warehouse, Hardware, Tackleshop or Bottleshop when required;
- Count money in cash drawers at the end of shift to ensure that sales and receipts are accurately reconciled during clearing;
- Notify Store Manager, Supervisor, Security or Cash Room when required to undertake “X” reading;
- Discretely inform or clarify Store Manager or Supervisor regarding pricing of any item(s) if in doubt;
- Any other duties assigned by Store Manager.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Sweep and mop areas where required;
- Return trolleys and shopping baskets to designated areas;
- Restock, stack or dust items on shelves when not attending to customers at checkout counter
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably minimum of 2 years work experience as sales person or similar role
- English and Vietnamese communication skills
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Counting and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Punctuality, reliability, honesty and trustworthy;
- Excellent customer service
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- A people person
- Situationally and self-aware
- Team player
BENEFITS
- AUD: 18,000 – 23,000 per annum
- 2 years contract with return airfare (at the start and in the end of contract)
