Site Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical)

Company and Job Overview
JAC’s client, a Japanese construction company in HCMC, is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Site Engineer position.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City

Job Responsibilities

• Report directly to the M&E Site Manager.
• Participate in Toolbox Meetings and prepare/record Minutes of Meeting when required.
• Review subcontractors’ Q&A and Requests for Information (RFI).
• Review and evaluate Method Statements, Material Submissions, Shop Drawings, etc. submitted by subcontractors in compliance with approved standards and specifications.
• Conduct incoming material inspections in accordance with approved documents.
• Supervise and monitor M&E installation works on site, including subcontractors’ safety compliance, to ensure quality, safety, and project schedule.
• Coordinate with relevant parties such as Civil team, Consultant, Client, and Local Authorities to ensure smooth site execution.
• Assist in the execution of temporary works related to M&E scope.
• Carry out site inspections, Testing & Commissioning, and Hand-over works for M&E packages.
• Assess completed work of subcontractors for payment purposes.
• Perform maintenance works during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) when required.
• Manage and monitor project controls for engineering suppliers, ensuring effective coordination with the Owner.

Job Requirements
Must have

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering projects.
• Proficient in English with good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Sound knowledge of construction quality management systems, regulations, and applicable standards.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a site-based project environment
