JAC’s client, a Japanese construction company in HCMC, is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Site Engineer position.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City
Job Responsibilities
Report directly to the M&E Site Manager.
Participate in Toolbox Meetings and prepare/record Minutes of Meeting when required.
Review subcontractors’ Q&A and Requests for Information (RFI).
Review and evaluate Method Statements, Material Submissions, Shop Drawings, etc. submitted by subcontractors in compliance with approved standards and specifications.
Conduct incoming material inspections in accordance with approved documents.
Supervise and monitor M&E installation works on site, including subcontractors’ safety compliance, to ensure quality, safety, and project schedule.
Coordinate with relevant parties such as Civil team, Consultant, Client, and Local Authorities to ensure smooth site execution.
Assist in the execution of temporary works related to M&E scope.
Carry out site inspections, Testing & Commissioning, and Hand-over works for M&E packages.
Assess completed work of subcontractors for payment purposes.
Perform maintenance works during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) when required.
Manage and monitor project controls for engineering suppliers, ensuring effective coordination with the Owner.
Job Requirements
Must have
At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering projects.
Proficient in English with good verbal communication and listening skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Sound knowledge of construction quality management systems, regulations, and applicable standards.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a site-based project environment
