Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design, project management, and procurement teams to support seamless project delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual terms, and local regulations.

  • Track and manage project costs, identifying discrepancies and recommending cost-effective solutions.

  • Generate project cash flow projections and monitor spending to ensure financial alignment.

  • Perform quantity take-offs and create detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from project drawings and specifications.

  • Offer cost optimization advice and value engineering strategies to enhance project outcomes.

  • Oversee tendering processes, including evaluating and negotiating with contractors and vendors, and finalizing contract awards.

  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical records, and supplier pricing information.

  • Develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for interior design and fit-out projects.

  • Verify and process subcontractor invoices, progress claims, and contract variations.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally within interior fit-out or construction sectors.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and AutoCAD software.

  • Strong skills in analysis, negotiation, and effective communication.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, materials, and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with Japanese companies or clients is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

  • Experience in high-end interior projects meeting Japanese quality standards is preferred.

  • Proficiency in English; Japanese is a plus.
