JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis of the category’s purchasing volume
- Creation of market analyses and procurement strategies
- Identification, initiation, and promotion of potential savings and improvements (e.g. initiation of make-or-buy analyses) as well as responsibility for the up-to-dateness of project data in the Purchasing reporting system
- Monitoring of project implementation and initiation of countermeasures if the project target is jeopardized
- Risk management and task force/troubleshooting with QCD issues for all assigned suppliers
- Negotiation of prices, conditions, and contracts as well as requests for bids for the assigned suppliers
- Ensuring the publication of concluded prices, conditions, and contracts for the assigned suppliers
- Initiation and implementation of the supplier selection and supplier approval process in accordance with the category-specific requirement matrix, creation of awarding of contract decision forms, and nomination of suppliers
- Active participation in the management of the supplier portfolio (e.g. ensuring the correct supplier assignment, supplier classification, supplier assessment, and supplier development) as well as active management of highly-volatile and supply-critical materials
- Regular coordination with the relevant specialist departments and the regional/local contact partners in order to increase customer satisfaction
- Selection of suitable purchasing tools and definition of the purchasing processes that are to be used
- Participation in the shaping of the process landscape in Purchasing, as well as the initiation and support of continuous improvement measures, some of them in collaboration with MOVE
- On instruction from the superior, tasks must be carried out that correspond with the nature of the position or are the result of operational requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Engineer with several years of professional experience in purchasing.
- Active participation in the coordination and steering of the corresponding category/categories, including the associated purchasing costs.
- Knowledge in Cost Estimation
- Strong commitment to business targets
- Capable to manage complex projects in matrix organization
- Good Strategically thinking
- Project Management Skills
- Fluent English in speaking and writing
- Good Communication skills on an international basis
- Knowledge in SAP
