JAC's client - the largest fund manager in the local market is looking for a Fixed Income Manager in HCM City, Vietnam.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist in the development of internal audit policies, procedures, and processes, and submit them to the Department Head, Supervisory Committee (SC), and Board of Directors (BOD) for review and approval. 
  • Conduct research and analysis on macroeconomics, fixed income markets, money markets, capital markets, and financial markets. 
  • Develop and sustain necessary tools/models for conducting the required research and analysis. 
  • Generate regular and on-demand reports, slides, and views on macroeconomics, financial markets, fixed income markets, money markets, and fixed income strategies. 
  • Ensure high-quality research outcomes are maintained and delivered within the required timeframe. 
  • Participate in and develop methods to expand and enhance ongoing research and analysis of macroeconomics and the fixed income market. 
  • Support the Head of Fixed Income in managing and executing cash management for all funds, ensuring completion of required approvals, system captures, trade documents/confirmations/agreements.  

 

  • Compile reports related to funds, including compliance, risk, client, annual fund, fund management reports, and other necessary reports. 
  • Prepare and maintain reports on Fixed Income model portfolios for assigned fixed income funds. 
  • Assist in reviewing fixed income portfolios, incorporating research views, trade ideas/fixed income strategies, fund mandates/investment limits, and fund objectives. 
  • Collaborate with the fixed income team and conduct credit research and analysis for new or existing credit deals when assigned. 
  • Regularly review and update the investment process as necessary. 
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to complete trade execution and related reports/documentation. 
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Fixed Income. 

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • A valid professional license is required. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar field is required. A higher degree is desirable, and a CFA certification is a plus.  
  • At least 5 years of experience in macroeconomics, fixed income, capital markets, stock markets, or related research fields is necessary. The position demands prior fundamental research experience and a solid understanding of macroeconomics, government policies, bond markets, capital markets, and multiple sectors. Experience related to portfolio management is also required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are needed, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to simplify complex issues into key points in a convincing and credible way.  
  • Maintaining a high degree of professionalism is compulsory.  
  • The ideal candidate is a team player who is flexible, adaptable, and hardworking, and believes in a collaborative investment process.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
