JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Costing and Inventory
  • Responsible for setting up the standard costing and timely updating of the standard cost changes when requested by Senior management.
  • Maintain standard costing and control master management related to costing and inventory.
  • Conduct and lead the full-year physical inventory count and ensure the variance is timely adjusted.
  • Collaborate with Production and Warehouse on cycle count activities.
  • Collaborate with other teams, Project Management Officer (PMO) and Business Process Improvement (BPI), to review and monitor new initiatives for saving.
  • Work closely with the commercial and operations teams for new product costing.
  • Support R&D and new product standard cost simulation.
  • Prepare and analyze the operation reports.
  • Perform review analysis and other accounting bookkeeping to ensure inventory costs are accurately presented in the financial statement.
  • Responsible for daily and month-end/year-end closing on inventory and costing functions.
  • Prepare a monthly actual cost analysis, a cost-down roadmap (CDRM) for high-runner products, or an ad hoc report requested by management.
  • Control and review all new sanction requests for inventory and write-offs through Finario.
  • Responsible for reject reconciliation monthly to ensure proper handling.
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliation for inventory, spare parts, and related accrued expenses.
  • Review inventory health status, figure out risk or potential risk on inventory, and propose necessary provisions for inventory in accordance with GAAP.
Audit and Internal Control Compliance
  • Work with an external auditor for audited financial statements.
  • Ensure that all internal controls are in place and lead the team to conduct internal self-control assessments in costing and reporting areas.
  • Perform internal control testing based on the schedule given and ensure all controls are placed at plant level.
Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Collaborate with operational teams to support preparation, analyze the quarterly forecast/outlook and ensure timely submission of the forecast to the regional reporting team.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to support preparation and analyze the annual budget as per the instructions for timeline and schedule reporting.
  • Prepare a monthly analysis report, including the balance sheet, P&L, and F4 reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of the monthly report to the regional reporting team.
  • To assist in the preparation of management meetings presentation slides for monthly financial performance.
Others:
  • Support operational teams (SCM/Planning/Warehouse/Production) in areas regarding the ERP system, inventory, and costing.
  • Other tasks were requested by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Audit/Economics
  • A CPA, CIMA, or similar professional qualification is preferable.
Job Experience:
  • At least 8 years of progressive work experience in a multinational manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years of experience with costing (actual and standard) in manufacturing
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with ERP (D365, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP), HFM
Knowledge of accounting principles for both local VAS, IAS, IFRS, or USGAAP
  • Mature operation skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Process management skills and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills within a multi-national team as well as a moderator.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
