- To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and actuarial principles, ensure that actuarial results, processes, and procedures are sound, accurate, documented, and reasonable.
- In charge of setting assumptions, modeling, profit testing, and all other technical aspects. The process will include ensuring the pricing model's integrity, meeting pricing standards, and ensuring financial integrity in distribution channel compensation.
- Implementing the Actuarial Career Program and ensuring that actuarial staff receives adequate training and development, as well as makes good progress in passing exams.
- Ensure that financial results prepared on a variety of bases, such as IFRS, EEV, and local statutory, are prepared on time and on sound principles, and that they are analyzed, understood, and communicated clearly.
- Maintain statutory solvency. Responsible for carrying out agreed-upon strategies and action plans to ensure the company's optimal capital management.
- Ensure that regular expense, claim, and persistence analyses are performed.
- Recommend policyholder bonus rates and ensure adequate processes for policyholder bonus determination are in place. Calculate universal life interest rates similarly.
- Primary responsibility for the company's reinsurance arrangements. This includes the upkeep of reinsurance systems, the preparation of accounts, and the evaluation, documentation, and updating of reinsurance treaties.
- Work closely with the finance function on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting; the IFRS17 project as needed during the transition of reporting standards; and corporate strategy and business development on planning and projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree and above
- Having 10 years experience in life or health insurance, or at least 5 years experience since becoming a fellow of one of internationally accredited associations of actuaries
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IFRS and EEV reporting principles, rules and methodologies
- Familiarity with the financial regulations and best practice of international reporting standards
- Excellent conceptual, analytical and financial skills
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to coach staff at all levels of experience
- Having never violated the code of conduct applicable to actuaries; having never been prosecuted for crimes related to their professional activities
- Good English command
- Presentation skills
