JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Transportation Management: Oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound transportation, including carrier selection, contract negotiation, freight cost analysis, and route optimization.
Warehouse & Inventory Management: Manage warehouse operations, including storage, material handling, inventory control, and order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Implement best practices for inventory management to minimize holding costs and prevent stockouts.
Customs & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all domestic and international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws. Manage import/export documentation and procedures.
Supplier & Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers. Evaluate performance and negotiate favorable terms.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, monitor performance, analyze data, and generate regular reports for management. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Technology & Systems: Leverage logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to optimize processes and data accuracy. Drive initiatives for technology adoption and integration.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
Budget Management: Manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting service level agreements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience in electronics manufacturing or a similar industry is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Proven track record of optimizing logistics processes and achieving cost savings.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
