Our client in Home Furniture Field is looking for QC Manager. With main request as below :


Manages the QC team, responsible for shipment approval of purchased goods and for ensuring suppliers follow required quality management processes. Identifies quality improvement opportunities in the supply chain; develops and implements key quality initiatives with suppliers to support continuous improvement.


  • Manage AQL audits by providing direction on a daily basis to Quality Auditors in conducting AQL audit procedures consistent with company standards
  • Manage color / finish approval processes; provide training and color testing to the supplier and auditors
  • Develop training program for new auditors and on-going procedures for verifying auditor performance
  • Determine auditor’s permanent working base and flexible rotation schedule
  • Prioritize and conduct weekly supplier factory audits of production and quality systems in compliance with company's AQL audit procedure
  • Conduct 8D Corrective Action Process with suppliers to ensure accurate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation; conduct factory site verification of implementation of corrective actions; conduct 60-day and 90-day follow-up audits on 8D implementation
  • Review and analyze company's AQL audit reports and provide direction for reduced, normal, and tightened inspection requirements
  • Work with US-based quality teams to review quality rejections documented in company's audit reports by following Quality Rejection Review Procedure; identify and implement corrective actions with suppliers as required
  • Conduct training seminars with suppliers on implementing Advance Quality Planning Processes in the manufacturing environment
  • Conduct training seminars with suppliers on developing process control plans
  • Conduct supplier quality meetings, as required by current quality events at the US-based plants and distribution centers, to identify and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders (Quality, Sourcing, Merchandising) as necessary on supplier quality issues and New Product Launch activities
  • Support PPAP process at suppliers during the new product launch, as required
  • Conduct assessments of new suppliers required by company's Supply Chain team


  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of standard quality management concepts: APQP, Control Plans, SPC, FEMA, DFEMA, 8D Corrective Action, Color Management, Lean Manufacturing Systems; technical training in some / all of these concepts preferred
  • Expertise in Quality Assurance processes for the following categories: fabric, leather, upholstered furniture, furniture components, Strong background in casegoods, etc.
  • Computer skills in business software – Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, I-Aditor
  • Strong communication skills including verbal & written, presentation, negotiation & conflict resolution
  • Product Development knowledge.( Casegoods )
  • Product cost structure knowledge
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Extensive local / regional travel required
