The Project Manager/Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) - Japanese Speaker role leads software development projects, manages communication with Japanese-speaking clients, and coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions across various business domains. Based in Da Nang under a hybrid working arrangement, the position combines project leadership, client engagement, technical coordination, and team development.
Responsibilities
Lead software development projects from planning through delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgets, and quality objectives
Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocation strategies, and delivery roadmaps
Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests
Serve as the primary communication bridge between Japanese-speaking clients and offshore development teams
Facilitate requirements gathering, project discussions, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication
Conduct project presentations, status updates, and negotiations in Japanese
Lead and mentor project team members to support performance and professional growth
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 level or above
At least 4 years of experience working on software development projects
At least 2 years of experience as a BrSE, project leader, team leader, or in a similar role supporting Japanese-speaking clients
Proven experience in project planning, estimation, resource management, quality control, and risk management
Good understanding of the software development life cycle
Experience working with Waterfall or Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience in web application development
Practical technical exposure to technologies such as Java, the Spring Framework, and Angular
Experience in banking, financial services, or related domains would be an advantage
