A company in the software product industry is hiring for a Principal PHP Software Engineer position.
Job Description
Design, develop, and test new features using PHP for a large-scale web application.
Participate in system enhancement, code refactoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
Drive technical excellence by focusing on code quality, maintainability, and long-term system stability.
Lead technical discussions, review deliverables, and ensure high-quality output from the development team.
Support team members in resolving technical challenges and investigating complex system issues.
Analyze business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and test automation processes.
Qualifications
At least 6 years of experience developing web applications with PHP, including development, refactoring, and unit testing.
At least 2 years of experience leading technical activities, including code review, quality assurance, technical problem-solving, and solution design.
Hands-on experience with one or more PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CakePHP, Zend, CodeIgniter, or Yii2.
At least 2 years of experience working with VueJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Experience preparing technical documentation and sharing knowledge with team members.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and research capabilities.
Experience with tools such as Figma, PHPStorm, or GitHub is an advantage.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT is preferred.
Ability to read and understand English technical documentation.
Experience working in a Japanese-style development environment is an advantage.
