The Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Quantity Surveyor role focuses on quantity take-off, measurement, and the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP works, primarily involving air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems. The position works closely with engineering and quantity surveying teams to ensure accurate measurements, resolve drawing discrepancies, and deliver timely BOQ updates in accordance with project and client requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform quantity take-off and measurement for MEP works, primarily involving air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, based on drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Prepare and update BOQs for MEP works
Coordinate with quantity surveying and engineering teams to clarify drawing discrepancies and scope requirements
Compare revised drawings and update quantities accordingly
Ensure BOQs are accurate, complete, and submitted within the required deadlines
Communicate and coordinate with the Singapore quantity surveying team regarding measurements, scope clarification, drawing revisions, and BOQ updates
Follow project-specific measurement requirements, specifications, and client standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, MEP Engineering, Construction, or a related field
Experience in MEP quantity take-off or cost estimation is preferred
Good understanding of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, and other MEP services
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Ability to measure quantities accurately and prepare BOQs
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Good communication and coordination skills
English communication skills sufficient for working with overseas quantity surveying teams
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability
