The Maintenance Manager role oversees the maintenance and repair of container-handling equipment and related facilities to support safe, reliable, and efficient port operations. Based in the Phu My area, the position leads a maintenance team of approximately 10 employees and provides technical support during urgent equipment breakdowns, including those occurring outside regular working hours.
Responsibilities
Manage the maintenance and repair of container-handling equipment, including port cranes and related machinery
Plan preventive maintenance activities and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
Oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, with a particular focus on mechanical systems and hydraulics
Lead a maintenance team of approximately 10 employees
Coordinate the maintenance of port facilities and provide support during urgent breakdowns outside regular working hours
Requirements
Experience maintaining container-handling equipment or similar heavy equipment
Strong mechanical maintenance knowledge; experience with hydraulic systems would be an advantage
Knowledge of electrical maintenance and preventive maintenance planning
Experience supervising a maintenance team
Ability to communicate in English
Willingness to provide emergency support outside regular working hours
Ability to commute to the Phu My area
