The Deputy Section Manager - Planning role leads and manages logistics operations across warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, and operational planning. The position plays a key part in improving logistics efficiency, controlling operating costs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting business objectives through cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage logistics operations, including warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, and logistics planning
Develop logistics plans and oversee operations to support efficiency and effective resource utilisation
Improve logistics processes, control operating costs, and maintain inventory accuracy
Manage and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers and transportation vendors
Prepare, monitor, and control the logistics budget and operating costs
Collaborate with internal functions to support continuous improvement and business objectives
Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, and logistics planning
Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Good negotiation and vendor management abilities
Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel, PivotTables, and Power BI is preferred
