The Bridge Software Engineer role facilitates communication between international stakeholders and software development teams throughout the project lifecycle. The position is ideal for professionals with technical expertise and strong communication skills who are interested in supporting project delivery and taking on broader project management and stakeholder coordination responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders to gather, clarify, and communicate project requirements, specifications, and development processes
Act as the bridge between customers and development teams to support smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle
Analyse business and technical requests and communicate requirements accurately to development team members
Work closely with project managers or project leaders to monitor project progress and delivery
Support project coordination activities and contribute to successful implementation
Take on broader responsibilities over time, including project management and stakeholder coordination
Requirements
More than 2 years of experience as a bridge system engineer or in a related role
Japanese proficiency at Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 level or above, with strong communication skills
Good understanding of software development processes
Hands-on programming experience and technical knowledge
Experience working with low-level design documentation
Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and self-motivation
Project management experience will be an advantage
Experience living or working in Japan is preferred
