The Senior Accountant role supervises junior staff responsible for preparing accounting, tax, payroll, and financial reports for review. Reporting directly to managers, the position also serves as a key point of contact for clients on accounting and tax-related matters while supporting the accurate and timely delivery of professional services.
Responsibilities
Manage the progress of assignments, tasks allocated to junior staff, and client deadlines
Perform detailed reviews of client accounting and tax reports prepared by junior staff:
Review accounting entries recorded in accounting software
Review monthly accounting reports
Review monthly payroll and related liabilities, including SIHIUI
Review tax calculations and declarations, including Value Added Tax, Personal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, and Foreign Contractor Tax
Communicate with clients during daily operations, understand their circumstances, and provide advice on operational matters
Work with client auditors and tax officers when required
Assist with ad hoc services such as reviews, tax inspections, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions projects
Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff as required
Perform other tasks assigned by senior personnel
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Banking, or Commerce
4–5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax consulting
Good tax knowledge and practical experience
Good English communication and reporting skills
Good communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A completed or ongoing CPA or equivalent qualification will be an advantage
