The Legal Staff role plays a key part in supporting corporate legal procedures, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and the day-to-day management of real estate and property operations. This onsite position offers broad exposure to corporate governance, stakeholder coordination, dispute management, and operational legal matters within a dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute corporate legal procedures, including business registration, investment-related filings, operational licences, and other statutory applications required for project entities
Prepare and maintain corporate governance documentation, including resolutions, board and shareholder meeting records, and internal legal records
Ensure accurate management of legal documentation and timely submission of mandatory reports to the relevant authorities
Monitor the validity of permits, approvals, certificates, and legal documents required for project and property operations, and coordinate renewals or amendments when necessary
Provide legal guidance and practical solutions for matters arising from day-to-day building and project management activities
Support the development, review, and improvement of contract templates and legal documentation standards
Draft, assess, and negotiate commercial agreements, including leasing, service, procurement, and vendor-related contracts
Liaise with government agencies during inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews, including preparing supporting documents and coordinating follow-up actions
Assist in resolving disputes involving tenants, contractors, residents, and other stakeholders through negotiations, legal correspondence, and coordination with external counsel
Advise management on legal risks, compliance matters, and operational issues to support informed business decisions
Participate in drafting and updating company policies, internal procedures, and compliance frameworks
Provide legal and compliance awareness support to internal departments when required
Support administrative legal processes, vendor payment documentation, signature workflows, and other duties assigned by management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised university
Several years of legal experience, preferably in corporate law, real estate, property management, or an in-house legal function
Strong written and spoken English, with business-level proficiency across all communication skills
Japanese-language proficiency will be an advantage
Sound understanding of corporate governance, contract management, compliance, and regulatory matters in Vietnam
Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide commercially practical legal recommendations
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented, reliable, and highly responsible when handling legal matters
Collaborative and adaptable, with a willingness to support a broad range of assignments in a dynamic environment
Ability to work proactively and drive business development independently
