The Field Application Engineer role offers an opportunity to apply specialist expertise in Silicon Photonics, High-Speed Interfaces, and Signal Integrity testing to complex customer applications. This onsite position combines technical consultation, product evaluation, troubleshooting, measurement analysis, and knowledge sharing to help customers achieve compliance and accelerate product development.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in Silicon Photonics and High-Speed Interfaces, with a focus on the MP1900A Signal Quality Analyzer and Vector Network Analyzer, to help customers achieve compliance and accelerate product development
Lead customer evaluations, deliver onsite demonstrations, and troubleshoot complex Signal Integrity issues
Analyse measurement results, including Eye Diagram, Jitter, SNDR, and BER, identify root causes, and deliver actionable technical reports
Provide technical seminars, demonstrations, and application notes to customers and partners
Report project and task status, progress, and issues to the business development manager and management accurately and promptly
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
A degree in Mathematics, Physics, or another relevant scientific discipline may also be considered
Familiarity with High-Speed Interface standards such as PCI-Express (PCIe Gen3–Gen6), USB 3.2, USB4, USB4 v2, Ethernet 400GbE and 800GbE PAM4, and OIF-56G
Hands-on experience in debugging and compliance testing of High-Speed Interface standards, such as PCIe, USB, and Ethernet
Understanding of communication fundamentals, Signal Integrity, and measurement techniques, including insertion loss, crosstalk, jitter, skew, eye diagram, and BER
Hands-on expertise with oscilloscopes, VNAs, and BERTs
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
