Business Development Manager (Japanese Speaking)

Job Description

• Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with the company’s sales strategy

• Build and expand relationships with prospective and existing clients to increase market share

• Coordinate with overseas networks to generate leads and secure new business

• Prepare competitive proposals with internal support and follow up on client engagement activities
  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, quotations, and sales activities

• Monitor market trends, including competitors and industry developments, to support strategic planning

• Lead and manage team performance, including coaching, development planning, and ensuring alignment with company values and regulations

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, legal requirements, and health, safety, and environmental standards

• Provide regular reporting to management on sales performance and business progress

Qualifications

• College or university degree in Foreign Trade, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred

• Experience in import and export, freight forwarding, or shipping lines

• Fluent Japanese language skills with strong English communication ability

• Strong organizational skills with a proactive and self-motivated approach

• Effective communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively under pressure
